Tengu Sushi and Noodle House offers a little bit of everything. This family-friendly spot on the border of Sunset Park and Dyker Heights is known for its Udon, Ramen and Soba noodles. You can get them stir-fried or in bowls of hearty broths with things like pork belly, shrimp tempura and roasted duck. Steamed pork buns filled with pork belly, scallion and cucumber get a dab of hoisin sauce and stand up to some of the best I've tried in the East Village. Shrimp shumai, a kind of open-faced dumpling, and crispy, deep-fried pork dumplings make for starters. You will also find a nice assortment of sushi and sashimi, including specialty rolls filled with everything from soft shell crab and tuna and eel. Prices are relatively tame with most dishes costing under ten bucks. Bento boxes are also available. - Thomas Rafael
