Jean-Georges brings a taste of the sea to his new nautical destination at Pier 17 in the Seaport District. The restaurant offers dazzling waterfront views in a fine dining atmosphere. This is chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's first seafood restaurant which he says is inspired by the energy of the former Fulton Fish Market. The space features hand-painted murals by artists Diego Castaño and Chandler Noah, including one based upon Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. The seafood feast begins with Crudos, including Sashimi on Ice and Red Snapper Ceviche, as well as raw bar selections.  Crispy Soft Shell Crabs serve as appetizers alongside Octopus with Fresh Mozzarella. Also from the sea comes Maine Lobster with Spring Peas, Roasted Monkfish and Fish & Chips with saffron aioli.  Simply cooked options include Halibut on the Bone, Head on Prawns, and Maine Sea Scallops served with a preserved black bean vinaigrette.  Non-fish lovers have options too, including a Gruyere Cheeseburger with crunchy onions, Marinated Char Grilled Organic Chicken and Wagyu Tenderloin.  With many prices in the $20 to $30 range, The Fulton is an accessible Seaport option for all. Bravo! >>
