A tavern with a storied chef has landed at Hudson Yards. The Tavern by WS is an American brasserie with large dining spaces both indoors and out with views of The Vessel and the Hudson River. Designed by the Rockwell Group, the tavern features a two-story wine wall and large bar. Chef Eli Kaimeh, formerly of Per Se and Gramercy Tavern, has created an upscale yet casual dining experience with a focus on wine. On the menu, guests will find things like a Prawn Cocktail, Apple Waldorf Salad and Pork & Beans with Kurobuta pork. Larger plates include Herb-Crusted Sea Bass, Steak Frites and a Snake River Porterhouse for two. There are also several rotisserie offerings like Garlic Sausage with pistachios, Rotisserie Chicken with Supreme sauce and Bar B Que Spiced Lamb Breast. For dessert, how about some warm apple pie and an "orange creamsicle" with white chocolate and vanilla wafers.
