Vien, known for its hawker-style street food, now has a second location on Fifth Avenue in Midtown. Founder Mark Sy is focusing on the type of Southeast Asian dishes he grew up on. Look for an assortment of rice bowls, salads and noodle dishes made with things like grilled ginger beef and lemongrass chicken. You can also add you favorite garnishes ranging from crispy shallots and Birdseye chilis, to an avocado smash. Chicken and tofu summer rolls are offered along with a papaya slaw. For dessert, there is Pandan basil-seed tapioca.
